Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: - If a client cancels within 24 hours or misses a session, the lesson charge will be not be refunded. - The tutor will wait up to 10 minutes into a session for the student to show up. If the student does not show up within this time, the lesson will be canceled by the tutor and the lesson charge will be applied. - Clients are allowed to emergency cancel one session per term. The tutor must be notified as soon as possible in such cases. It is possible to move the session to later that week without extra charge - In the rare occurrence that the session needs to be cancelled by me, I will strive to provide at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellations. In the event of an emergency cancellation, a refund for the affected session will be applied, or the session can be rescheduled to another day, as per the parent's preference. Rescheduling Policy: - Clients may reschedule a session to another day the same week with at least 24 hours' notice without penalty. If not rescheduled to the same week, then the following week and the student will have two classes that week. - Rescheduling within 24 hours notice is not possible. - Clients may reschedule a maximum of 2 sessions with 24 hours notice per term (August-December and January-May) Payment Policy: - Sessions must be paid for through the website at least 48 hours in advance. If payment is not received before this timeframe, the lesson will not be reserved and will not take place. Contract Cancellation: - Parents must give at least two weeks' notice via email if they wish to cancel the contract/agreement, whether they are booking through singular lessons or through the 4 Session pack. - If the contract is canceled before the end of a block of sessions, no refund will be provided for the remaining weeks. Late Arrivals: - Regardless of how late a student joins the class (given not longer than 10 minutes or else the class is cancelled) the lesson will still end at the original scheduled time. Termination Clause: - The tutor reserves the right to terminate the contract if the client repeatedly violates the terms and conditions or if the tutoring relationship is no longer productive. Non-Communication Clause: - If a student/parent ceases communication and the tutor has not heard from them in several weeks, any remaining lessons will still be charged for.
