Doors Are Open Again!

It’s officially time…Doors To The Study Strategy Lab 🧪 are OPEN again! 🎉

The Study Strategy Lab is my signature study skills programme for secondary level students in the Uk & Ireland which I run just twice a year with limited spots.

This programme is the culmination of over 10 years of experience, insight, and lessons learned about what really makes the difference to a student’s academic success.

Through first hand experience, looking at the extensive research done by neuroscientists, psychologists and other experts and from working with hundreds of secondary level students, I know that the biggest reason a student struggles with school is not because of their personality, intelligence levels but because they are lacking in study skills.

So, let's have a look at whether this programme might be beneficial for your teenager..

This programme is for students who are:

1️⃣ Doing all the ‘right things’ but the effort put into revising doesn't seem to match the results coming out

2️⃣Has ever had thoughts like ‘I’m just not good at school/this subject ’ or ‘I’m not smart enough’

3️⃣Anxiety around tests, exams, choosing subjects and thinking about the future

4️⃣Struggles in knowing how to study or make revision stick , feeling lonely and left to figure it out themselves outside class or tutoring sessions

5️⃣Struggles with procrastination, consistency, motivation to study but feel guilty when they are not studying

6️⃣Your teen wants better grades and is keen to study but doesn't have a clear system for achieving them

Students in any of the situations mentioned above are missing a study system and a strategy! And that's what the SSL is about.

The SSL is a 5 module, live, coaching programme for secondary school students and is built using my 5 Pillar Framework.

The 5 Pillar Framework refers to a concept I’ve developed of the 5 crucial foundations to studying that actually move the needle towards academic success.

They are:

  1. Metacognition and Self-Awareness

  2. Optimised Learning Conditions

  3. Time, Workload & Deadline Management

  4. Effective Revision Methods

  5. Motivation, Discipline & Stress Resilience.

I actually ran a webinar last Friday & Saturday for parents and secondary level teens, demonstrating the importance of these 5 pillars and their impact on a students academic success. Lots of people really enjoyed the webinar saying it is a ‘must watch’ and it was like I had been listening to their conversations at home!

And here are some of the insights people have had from the webinar in case you don’t have time to take a look!

So, within the Study Strategy Lab for each module covering one of the pillars, students will get:

1 hour session teaching the pillar, explaining it, demonstrating its importance for students, and guiding them to make improvements within the pillar (in much more detail than just the webinar)

✅A recording of the session

✅A workbook to accompany the session, so they can follow along, stay focused and get the biggest benefit from the session

Homework exercises, with worksheets and PDF resources to apply the information they had learnt

✅For homework they submit, they will get personalised feedback from me on it

There are also lots of additional bonuses they can get for joining - but you’ll need to check out the webpage to see those!

Students deserve to succeed without having to suffer for it and be given a fair chance to do with their life what they want to.

This year I’m taking on 20 secondary level students, but 6 spots have already gone.

There is time to consider if this is the right programme for you, but don’t take too long - because the doors will be closing to this programme on Thursday July 2nd at midnight.
