The
STUDY STRATEGY
LAB🧪
Summer Edition
This is my brand new 6 week summer course that gives Nat 5 and Higher students a clear revision strategy and daily routines to revise independently, consistently, and walk into school feeling confident and prepared.
No more guesswork, overwhelm, or study stress.
This is the first time I am running this course so spots will be very limited and it will never be as cheap again.
Doors open to enrollment Monday June 30th.
Course starts July 11th.
Why am I offering this course?
Because I have seen it happen too often. That a bright student's confidence and motivation is dimmed as a result of not knowing how to study. I've had too many students come into my tutoring classes and tell me they just 'reread over notes and highlight' them as their ''revision''.
I've been saddened to see students not enjoy school, dread their classes, be overwhelmed and frustrated at the system and lost on where to go. I've had emails from parents saying a student cannot come to class because they were in the bathroom crying from stress.
Chances are, you've seen it happen too:
The last-minute cramming
The stress meltdowns
The “I can’t do this” breakdowns at the kitchen table
And likely, you want to help — but you're not sure how.
You’ve bought revision books, encouraged them to try harder, even hired tutors… but the problem isn’t effort.
The problem is they’ve never been taught how to learn.
And if they have, knowing what to do and doing it are two entirely different skills. Some teens don’t struggle because they lack information — they struggle because they don’t have the systems, mindset, or structure to turn that knowledge into consistent action.
And it’s costing them their confidence — and you your peace of mind.
Imagine your child...
✅ Creating their own revision plan
✅ Studying independently — without arguing and without you nagging them to
✅ Knowing how to manage their time and energy
✅ Walking into school calm, organised, and confident
That’s the transformation we build inside The Study Strategy Lab 🧪.
And by far, the easiest way to get your teen to where they want to go is by having a personalised study system and strategy.
We’re not just improving their grades.
We’re changing how they feel about themselves as learners.
What's the alternative?...
-
Your teenager continues to underperform
-
More meltdowns and arguments and tears
-
They miss out on opportunities
-
They have to settle for their second or third choice university course
-
They lose their confidence, become unhappy, build resentment
-
They don't develop essential life skills and it affects them further down the road
-
And you, as a parent, stay trapped in a cycle of worry and frustration, watching them.

Their personal learning style + how to revise for it

This isn’t just another study session.
It’s the missing skillset school doesn’t teach.
From 30% in her prelim, to averaging at 70% in her past paper practise, the week before her exam.
''At the start of the year, Isabel was really struggling with Higher Biology. She’d just sat her prelims and scored around 30%, and although she was putting time in, nothing was really sticking. She didn’t have a clear study strategy and often felt overwhelmed by the content. We weren’t just worried about her results — we could see how much it was knocking her confidence. When we started looking for a tutor, we were nervous about finding the right person.
We found Brodie and decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad we did. What stood out early on was how practical and methodical Brodie’s approach was. It wasn’t just about covering biology content — Isabel was learning how to study. She was taught how to break things down, plan her revision, and actually understand what she was doing, rather than just trying to memorise and hope for the best. Slowly, she started applying these strategies across her other subjects too, not just biology — which was something she wasn’t getting support with at school.
One of the biggest shifts we saw was in how independent she became.
She started making her own study plans, knowing what she needed to work on and how to tackle it. That was a huge change from January, when she really didn’t know where to start. She began practising timed past papers on her own following Brodie’s advice and was consistently scoring around 70% leading up to the final exam. It felt like she was finally finding her feet.
She even spent time at school beforehand using dry-wipe boards to explain processes like photosynthesis to one of the teachers, who told her he was impressed with how much she knew. That comment really meant a lot to her.
By the time the exam came around, she was still nervous but she went in feeling prepared. She came out saying she’d answered all the questions and knew what she was doing. That in itself was such a confidence boost. It’s been incredible to watch how far she’s come, not just academically but in how she sees herself as a learner.
The confidence is still building, but she’s no longer dependent on someone telling her what to do — she’s in control now. We’re so proud of the progress she’s made and so grateful to Brodie for guiding her through it.''
So..
Tutors teach the content for a syllabus. And we are great at doing that!
But students also need to learn how to learn.
That’s what this course is about.
It complements tutoring — and makes all that effort finally stick.
So.... This Is For You If…
You are a parent of:
-
Teens entering Nat 5 or Higher who struggled with motivation or consistency this year

-
Families who want less stress, more structure, and real tools that actually help
Enrolment opens soon — and you’ll be the first to get access, bonuses, and updates.
This is a brand new course so I am only taking on a very small group of 15 students so I can put all my focus into helping them.
Give your teen the strategy they’ve never been taught — and the confidence they’ve been missing.
By the way, by joining the list there is no decision that needs to be made just yet, more information about the modules, sessions, dates and more will come soon.
